Here's the plot:
After the sudden death of her parents, a small-town girl (Christina Aguilera) from Iowa moves to Los Angeles to pursue her dreams of singing. She gets a gig at a neo-burlesque club, ran by Tess (Cher) a former dancer, who becomes a mentor for the young girl. In the midst of her hardships and traumas, the young girl finds love in Jack (Cam Gigandet).
